Paula Maya's 5-piece music group performances are exhilarating with songs that bring together traditional Brazilian percussion instruments and music styles such as Bossa Nova, Samba and Baião, with electric instruments and multi-lingual lyrics. American Pop Music, Reggae, Latin Jazz and World Music from South America and Africa all live in peace and harmony in Paula Maya's authentic vibrant songs. A high energy, fun and positive show that features Paula Maya's sultry voice and keyboard playing, and the delicious interplay between herself and her international band members. Paula is a recording artist with six CDs released and songs in several compilations with artists such as Jimmy Cliff and Carolyn Wonderland.

Paula Maya is also available as a solo artist and with smaller ensembles.

She has performed in countless festivals, universities, clubs and listening rooms in the US and Brazil. Her band was voted one of the Top Ten World Music Bands in 2015 and 2014 Austin Chronicle Music Awards. Her new CD 'Iluminar' was nominated for Best 2015/16 World-Global Fusion Album by One World Music in UK. Matthew Forss, music writer for Canada-based Inside World Music, writes: “Paula Maya creates a stunning release with a good dose of South American pizzazz.
